BASIC JOB DESCRIPTIONS
President: Direct the Club within the guidelines of the Bylaws & Policies. Preside at all Club meetings. Interface with Region Director and UYSA, oversee all Club activities, including everything that each member of the BOD does.
Takes 2 hours a day 6 days a week as a minimum to accomplish.
President Elect: Assist with all Club activities in the president’s absence. Interface with Club standing committees, oversee their activities and insure that they stay properly staffed.
(5 hours a month plus time of at registration, Max Cup, AGM and summer party.)
Club Secretary: Take minutes at meetings, make action lists and give follow-up reminders to those with assignment. Keep a list of Bylaw or Policy changes. Insure corporate and UYSA filings are done on time.
(5 hours a month)
Club Secretary Elect: Take minutes when Club Secretary cannot attend, see that changes in Bylaws and Policy changes are made in the actual documents and confirmed by the BOD. Help President and BOD members to establish and maintain a Club Calendar.

Vice President Boys: Direct boys teams through their team managers. Train team managers on the Club’s standard operating procedures for team and oversee boys teams registration process.
(10 to 15 hours a month, plus Max Cup, Registration and tryouts)
Vice President Boys Elect: Organize the U-9 tryouts each year serve on Max Cup Committee. (5 hours a month plus Max Cup, registration and tryouts)
Vice President Girls: Direct girls teams through their team mangers. Train team managers on the Club’s standard operating procedures for team. Oversee girls teams registration process. (10 to 15 hours a month, plus Max Cup, Registration and tryouts)
Vice President Girls Elect: Organize the U-9 tryouts each year. Serve on Max Cup Committee.

Director of Coaches: Should have a D license at a minimum / we recommend that they not be an active head coach, be qualified to evaluate trainers, coaches and players. Under direction of the BOD, establish an evaluation system and see that it is used before and after each season as a minimum to determine how players are developing. Interface with MP & Rec for clinics and training of both recreation coaches and players. Identify and recruit coaches for the U-9 new teams and recommend coaches for each established team prior to the annual AGM.

Trainer & Tryout Coordinator:
(Director of Coaches Elect)
a) Responsible for meeting Club’s trainer responsibilities set out in contracts that could include locating places to stay, vehicles, and other physical requirements.
b) Inventory and monitor Club training equipment used by trainers and inform Board of Directors of their needs, if any. This should be done at the beginning and close of each season as a minimum.
c) Coordinate and schedule training sessions for each team before each season and once schedule is approved, have it posted to the Club website.
d) Coordinate and schedule trainers and coaches for Club try-outs based on guidelines provided by the Board of Directors.

Vice President Equipment: Purchase of new and redistribution of used equipment for teams, trainers and Club use. Coordinate equipment for the Max Cup Tournament. Keeps inventory with help from VP Elect.

Vice President Equipment Elect: Help VP Equipment at Max Cup jointly. Keep inventory of team and Club equipment. Responsible for goal post repair and security (chains and locks).

Vice President Uniform & Apparel: Organize the uniform and apparel selection process with the BOD. When a standard uniform package is approved, then coordinate the team and individual purchase and distribution of uniform from Club’s preferred vendor.

Vice President Uniform & Apparel Elect: Help with uniform package purchase process. Work with BOD and coaches or team managers to meet the needs of the teams for optional apparel and interface with Club preferred vendors to accommodate these needs.

Treasurer: Maintain all Murray Max Soccer Club funds in proper accounts using the Quick Books system. Use data from Quick Books to complete the IRS Form 990. Help the President and BOD to establish an annual budget. Oversee team accounts.
(20 hours a month plus fall and spring registration)
Treasurer Elect: Monitor the team accounts weekly and report to Club Treasurer and President any questionable withdrawal or expense. Interface with Team Treasurer to see that their account is never over-drawn.
Vice President of Fund Raising:

Plan, implement and oversee all Murray Max Soccer Club and team fund raising efforts.
a) Prepare reports to the State of Utah, Charitable Corporation Department.
b) Contact businesses and organizations.
c) Approve individual ream fund-raising activities and see that they conform to the laws of Utah.
d) Obtain and audit, as often as the state law requires, such audits and reports of team and Club fund raisers.

Director of Fields:
a) Secure game and practice playing fields for all Murray Max teams.
b) Assure that fields are in proper and safe condition for play and practice.
c) Prepare and distribute an overall Club schedule of games for each season and instigate the continued use of nets where multiple games are played.
d) Coordinate game schedule with Coaches, UYSA, Murray Parks and Recreation, and Murray School District.
(10 hours a month plus 20 hours at the beginning of each season)
Directory of Fields Elect: Assist Director of fields by reviewing and reporting field condition(s), i.e., striping, grass condition and recommendation for repairs. Help with layout and striping of field for Max Cup.
(8 hours a month plus time at Max Cup)
Director of Risk Management:
a) Require two (2) adults to be in attendance at all Murray Max team/Club sponsored events (games, practices, etc.)
b) Oversee first aid training for each team and see that each team has a First-Aid Kit.
c) Develop and maintain systems and policies to avoid adult abuse of children.
d) Develop guidelines of action to be taken in Club activities to reduce Club and individual liability. Oversee Club training in these matters.

Responsibilities, Duties, Obligations of the Board of Directors:
Board of Directors is to vote on all issues of Club business in the best interest of the Club not their individual team association.
a) Transact all Club business.
b) Establish the Club by-laws and policies.
c) Recommend and accept recommendations from the Coaches, parents and players for changes to the by-laws and policies.
d) Approve the appointment or reappointment of all Coaches annually, (in April and May, but before fall team tryouts).
e) Provide fiscal oversight (management).
f) Participate and oversee duties and assignments of subcommittees.
e) Oversee the formation of new teams and the maintenance of old ones.
