Orden-District 1 Report
State tournament meeting and State rules meeting taking place will change how we function as club.
Players and parents on same side with 10 yards space between – referee will mandate
District wants a list of all teams and where they want to be placed for alignment meeting Orden would like it by next Thursday UYSA meeting
Mogie – Director of Coaches
Talked with BK for camps similar to last summer: one for girls one for boys
Need to pick dates and get it scheduled. June dates seem to work best.
Coaches meeting next Thursday in the MHS Commons Area, 7:00pm.
Murray Max Tournament
Tournament age is Ull thru U 14. Alan Demann would like to add U10. Orden said that they could add U10 but they need to find a field. Orden would like all the U10 on one field requiring an addition group of people to oversee and manage.
Mindy and Angela to get together and decide if they want to do U10. Murray Max may not be reacquired to play in our own tournament if upper division teams wish to play in the Sparta Cup.
Fields
Kelli Summers reported on fields for spring season. There have been changes: there will be designated game fields used strictly for all Murray Max games. Teams should be sensitive to recreation teams who will be practicing and playing games on the other fields.
Game Fields are:
Southwood
Grant West field
Willow Pond
Ice Rink
Kelli has details
Any nominations for:

Paid Coach Pilot Project Feedback – Alan Demann
U18 boys Fall season
This was self funded by the boys.
Good learning experience
Not everything we had hoped it would be
The right person is critical, must have a passion for the game
Team managers a must – calendars, coordination
Hard to combine the 3 age groups together in to the two U18 teams– emotional thing
Felt we paid too much at $300.00 per boy (this included, summer, 2 tournaments, and fall season)
Orden concerned that spending money on older age group not a long term investment
Older age group time and commitment questionable
Overall it was a good experience
Orden asked if he could get the cost per practise
Becky Critchfield – wanted to know if such coaching would be considered for the lower ages
Carla -Need to find the age that would benefit from such coaching, U9 still worrying about treats
Ruth Palmer
Voiced concern that every kid should have the opportunity to play on Murray Max at a low cost. If the cost goes up will lose players. It is not what Murray Max was built upon.
Vision Committee – Natalie Gochnour
Club has to decide how competitive it wants to be. A survey will be developed to solicit input at the General Meeting. Natalie recommended that a Board Meeting be set aside to review the survey results and solidify the common vision.
Player Development Committee - Marty
Marty gave overview of report given at previous board meeting.
Murray Max Annual Meeting – February 22nd
Paul Hezseltine will contact MHS to schedule a room
Wayne Bahr
The State fee’s for the club were collected in the fall
Spring fees:
U9 $50 per player plus ref fees ($31)
U10 $57 per player pus ref fees
GU15-18 $93.00 plus ref fees ($40)
It was suggested that we look at not purchasing REAL tickets as a club in the future as this adds to the registration cost and not all tickets get used. It was determined that this questioned will be placed on the survey.
Jennylyn to be the club Treasure effective the next Board Meeting, replacing Wayne Bahr.
Wayne Bahr suggested again the club have a designated registrar.
